Great clock! I have purchased many clocks over the years and I have to say that this one is probably the best of all. Here is why I say that:
1. Accurate. Nothing is more important than accuracy and many clocks are not. This one is very accurate.
2. Full range brightness dimmer. Awesome feature! Allows you to dial in the brightness with stepless adjustment form off to very bright. I don't think I've ever seen this before.
3. Attractive and nice size.
4. inexpensive!! Only $14!
To those complaining that the clock is defective for not working on battery only, please read the product description before posting a negative review. It's not supposed to. The battery is for backup only. If the power goes out the clock will maintain the correct time when the power comes back on, or if you unplug it to move it and plug it back in again. i guess it would be nice if it ran on battery only but I don't mind at all. Batteries are an ongoing expense I can do without.
